Kaaliya Narthanam

(This is my first attempt to post a picture story)

Kaaliya Narthanam   (Srimad Bhagavatham – Scantham 10, Chapter 16

*Oxbow Lakes are formed after river meandering, when the meandered segment gets cut off from the main river.

** This was a specific dance form defined by Bharatha Muni, where the dancer balances on a single leg over a moving stage, transferring the weight through the hand to the tail.

It is told that Lord Shiva, the King of Dance, came from Thillai (Chidambaram) to see the sacred dance by this divine Child.

***Ramana Islands are said to be in South America, where Anacondas are seen now.
